ABOUT CT
We are the first Blockchain ticketing platform. Ethical – Secure – Independent. Citizen Ticket is a tech start up (established in 2013) working in the event ticketing market. We have adapted Blockchain technology to the ticketing industry to try and eradicate the problems with ticket touts and secondary sellers. We have been trading on a small scale (mainly in Scotland and London) since early 2015. We have just secured seed investment to grow the business to the next level.
THE CHALLENGE
We want to aggressively grow our business initially throughout the UK and then into European markets, the bigger the events the better. We want to make a genuine positive change on the current unethical ticketing industry.
We're looking for startup oriented candidates to bring their creative problem solving skills and competitive drive to the team. The individual would be responsible for acquiring new business through operational expertise and execution. This team is focused on introducing and establishing our solution in market, acquiring customers of all shapes and sizes.
What makes Business Development at Citizen Ticket so exciting? You’ll be working with event organizers of everything from music festivals, concert venues, pop up events, conferences, and much more. No one conversation with a potential client is the same. There is no script, no one-size-fits-all solution.
THE TEAM
The current team consist of 3 founders (CFO, COO & CTO). In the immediate future, we are bringing on another Web Developer and a Head of Business Dev so the team will be increased to 5. We have plans to expand the team further once success in the next two years has been realised.
THE ROLE
We’re looking for someone who can drive growth, generating opportunities and bringing new customers onto the platform. This role reports to the company directors and founders, who will work along side you.
An ideal candidate will have 2+ years of sales experience and have worked in a growth-stage environment. Candidates must have a proven ability to execute a value-based sales process, drive market strategy, and history of exceeding quarterly and yearly targets.
THE SKILL SET
- 2+ years of experience in sales management with a proven record of quota over-achievement.
- Must be a self starter, able to motivate and manage themselves.
- Firm understanding of how to identify target customers, evaluate buyer interest, recognize decision-making processes, handle objections, must have attention to detail.
- Ability to develop expertise in the ticketing industry by identifying trends, market challenges, and competitive offerings in your territory
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A competitive fire. You want to win.
- Strong desire to build something and to work in an innovative, dynamic company and make an ethical change.
- Polite, well-mannered and highly presentable.
BONUS POINTS
Experience and a deep network of relationships in the events or ticketing industry within the UK.
A broad understanding and or interest in the application of Blockchain technologies.
PAY
The salary is £25,000 per year plus commission.
